kisou

kisou is Dir en grey's newest album, probably their most ambitious with 16 tracks (!!) of which 3 are instrumental, and it's also a damn cool album! I'm in love with it. I'm very much in love. kisou is much more in the style of Macabre than Gauze, heavier and darker, and I highly recommend buying it!

ZOMBOID - this song is hard and fast paced, with a really funky beat driving it along, and some very dirty lyrics. Great fun and will get you going a little nuts from very early on in the album. ^^

FILTH - sick, psychotic, and damn cool. The style reminds me a little of Myaku, with harsh, fast verses where Kyo growls out the words contrasting with a very melodic chorus. I love this song!

Bottom of the death valley - I adore this song; it's both laidback and rough at the same time. The bass is really cool and drives everything along beautifully, and Kyo croons gently and then screams like a maniac from one moment to the next.

The Domestic Fucker Family - well, with a title like that, maybe you already know what to expect, huh? ^_~ Crazy, wild, hard as hell, with lots of screeching guitar and manic screaming and growling from Kyo.

undecided - a slower, more mellow song, with a lovely underlying edge of sorrow and some gorgeous singing on Kyo's part. And some great guitarwork from Die, too. I really like this track.

JESSICA - a rarity for the band, this is a very pop-sounding song, very upbeat and not like their usual mood at all. But despite that, it's still rather cool, and quite fun to bounce along to. (For a change of pace, anyway. ^^)
