Ashen

Ashen is the bossman who runs the most successful local host club, B&B. He has a stern, imperious nature, and a harsh, sharp tone of voice, and when he gives orders, people scurry to obey them. He is not known for having a good temper and can be given to short but violent displays of anger when he is disobeyed or otherwise wronged. However these seem to leave his system as quickly as they come, and are just as quickly forgotten by him, even as those around him still quail in reaction. For all his harshness, he is a good businessman, and at the appropriate times can adopt a smooth, professional edge that has won him many a prosperous client, which in turn profits his business further. Rumour whispers that he started out in the business as a lowly host himself, though few actually believe it to be true, despite his good looks and natural self-confidence. Little is known as to why he wears an eyepatch, but many wild speculations abound, the most popular suggesting injuries received during his hosting days from a jealous client who wanted more than Ashen was willing to offer. It has been said that the only person he truly shares himself with is his second in command, Azuli.

Azuli

Azuli is Ashen's second in command. While most waiters at B&B are new recruits training up to the position of host, Azuli is a retired host who prefered to return to the position of waiter. He finds that flitting from table to table and enacting quick, short spurts of flirting is much more his style than the steady, singular flirting of the host. (Though he was quite successful when he was host.) Despite his 'position' of waiter and his relaxed, boyish attitude, he in fact holds much power at B&B; if he says the word, people jump. But he prefers not to execute his power unless absolutely necessary. To him, it is more important to train new recruits -- or keep current hosts in line -- with charm and friendship rather than with displays of power. Azuli tempers Ashen's stern, extreme nature and is said to be a major part of the reason the club runs as well as it does. There are also rumours that he has a somewhat steady relationship going with Ashen, but neither will admit to this publically, nor display any indication of it.

(It is very hard to photograph these two separately.) Onyx and Iolite are currently B&B's most successful hosts. They are twin brothers who spend almost all of their time together and are very rarely found alone. They tend to work together as a pair and woo their prospective client or clients together; they often switch out, understanding each other so well that they always know when the other is ready to stop or start his flirtatious ministrations. Their pouting, luscious lips and wide, clear eyes have set countless hearts fluttering in the town and they have so many clients that it can be almost impossible to book even a few hours with them. They seem to enjoy their job and dedicate much time to it, but outside of the club they are a very private pair. They have few friends, seeming to prefer only each other's company, and are not seen to go out much; although often invited to parties or other events they very rarely actually attend. The few exceptions to this are Ashen and Azuli, for the twins seem to get on well with both of them, and on off nights the four can often be found drinking and chatting together. Many people, particularly their clients, have trouble seeing the two as separate individuals, and Onyx and Iolite seem happy to perpetuate this confusion. In actual fact, the two have quite distinct personalities and interests; outside of work, Iolite is talkative, has a wild sense of humour, and comes across as relaxed and confident, while Onyx is quiet and reserved, talking only when he feels the need, and can be quite serious much of the time. While the two work equally when hosting, in most other situations Onyx defers to Iolite's lead. There are vague rumours that the two share not only apartment but also bed; the twins neither confirm nor deny this, prefering to ignore any gossip about them.
