Indigo

Indigo is incredibly laidback and relaxed. He's almost impossible to upset, a fact which has upset countless people in his life, including most members of his family; he's estranged from just about all of them. He doesn't really give a damn what other people think about him, and just goes about living his life exactly how he wants to. He makes friends easily, but also loses them easily. The only person he's remained friends with for a long time is his cousin, Okra; he's not really sure why, but he doesn't question it. Recently, he's made friends with Elysium, and has found to his dismay that he has something of a crush on the younger boy. He doesn't understand these feelings, and has no idea what to do about them, and so he does his best to ignore them completely. He can almost always be found with his stuffed cat, Blue. Everyone tells him he's long outgrown such childish toys, but he doesn't care in the slightest.

Elysium

Elysium is what most people would call a ditz. He's not exactly dumb, but he's incredibly scatter-brained and forgetful, as well as being easily distracted, and very unobservant of the world around him. This means he loses things, forgets appointments, gets lost easily, never remembers people's names, and occasionally walks into walls. He also has a bit of a fascination with women's fashion styles and tends to dress and do his hair in a very girlish way. But he's a very gentle, friendly, rather innocent boy. Most people don't understand him, and so he has trouble making friends, and gets hurt very easily by other people's teasing and cruelness; more so because he's too naive to ever see it coming. He's recently made friends with Indigo, and is very loyal to him, especially as Indigo has been nothing but kind to him, something he's never really had in a friend before.

Okra

Okra is one of those people who likes to do things first and think about the consequences later. He's very smart, and his mind moves very quickly, so he always has at least half a dozen schemes up his sleeve. However he never fully thinks them through before launching into them, and the result is often completely chaotic. Because of this, he is always getting himself and his friends into trouble. This is the only point of friction between him and Indigo -- the normally unflappable Indigo will occasionally flare up and yell at him when a scheme of his goes particularly bad. But Okra is always able to laugh it off and make peace afterwards. He enjoys Indigo's company too much to do otherwise, and not just because he gets amusement out of the problems Indigo is always causing for their family. He takes great advantage of Erushi, but he's quite fond of the boy and will go out of his way to protect him. Like Indigo, he takes his stuffed cat with him everywhere, mostly because it confuses other people, which he says puts him at an advantage.

Erushi

Erushi is the type who spends more time doubting himself than anything else. He's very shy and timid, and if something goes wrong or somebody says something angry, he's always the first to apologise. He's very submissive and tends to do as he's told, even if he doesn't always agree with it, just to keep the peace. He is very awed by Okra's brash way of doing whatever he wants, and as such looks up to him with a kind of hero worship. He follows him everywhere and will do anything Okra tells him to do, no matter how crazy or stupid, without question. This has, however, enabled him to learn to have some backbone; he won't let other people say bad things about Okra, and will always defend him, despite his terror of confrontation. Erushi also has a strange obsession with always being prepared for everything, and can always be found carrying multiple bags full of random items, "just in case" they're needed.
