Eden
Eden was a child prodigy violinist and has spent most of his life and his free time with his violin. He considers it an extension of himself and can never be found without it. However he's spent more time with his violin than with people, and he has very poor social skills. He always feels awkward around other people, and prefers to avoid them if at all possible. Sometimes people want to be his friend because of the beautiful music he makes, and he has been known to literally flee from recitals when such things occur. He also has a bit of an attitude -- he says he doesn't care what people think about him, and tends to dress a bit weird and sometimes act standoffish. However this seems more like an act than anything else; a reaction to the teasing he has endured for his strange ways. He does, however, have one friend, Ish, and he trusts him without question.

Ish is a bit of a devil-may-care boy, who loves causing havoc and getting up to mischief. He's not bad, though, he's just a bit misguided. His parents divorced at an early age and he and his younger brother have been shunted around a lot, not just between his parents but also many other relatives, and this has left him both untrusting and attention-seeking. He purposely says the wrong things at the wrong times, he breaks rules set by anyone he doesn't respect, and he ignores limits imposed on him. He also likes to wear off-beat clothes -- sometimes including girl's skirts -- and strange hairstyles because it bothers other people. But underneath all that brash attitude is quite a sweet nature; it's simply been rather squashed by so much uncertainty in his life. He's very loyal to his friends, and also his brother, although he won't always outwardly express it. He is very protective of Eden, whom he considers his protogé.

Usa (pronounced ooh-sah)

Since their parents divorced, the only constant figure in his life has been Ish, and he looks up to him almost like a parental figure, despite there being only a few years age difference between them. He tends to copycat his brother, and as such often gets into a lot of mischief and trouble as well, though he handles it with less grace than Ish does; he is more prone to receiving groundings and detentions and the like than his brother.
